Principal
Ms. Merilyn M. Steele, J.D., C.P.A., has been practicing law for approximately 10 years, and has gained extensive experience in the areas of estate planning, corporate, tax, real estate, and trust administration matters. She originally worked in the accounting field having obtained her CPA license in 1984. She practiced accounting at Kenneth Leventhal (a Big 8 firm), that specialized in real estate and is now merged with Ernst & Young, LLP (a big 4 accounting firm). After 10 years, Ms. Steele left the field of accounting to attend law school. She obtained her law degree and license to practice law and opened her legal practice in 1996.
Originally from Indiana, Ms. Steele received her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration (with an emphasis in accounting) in 1982 from Cal State University at Fullerton. In 1996, she received her Juris Doctorate Degree, Cum Laude, from Simon Greenleaf University, School of Law in Anaheim (now Trinity Law School of Trinity International University) and was voted Law Student of the Year. She was admitted to the State Bar of California in December, 1996.
Ms. Steele is a member of the following professional organizations:

- PEPNET (Pepperdine Center for Gift & Estate Planning) Elected to PEPNET Leadership Circle, 2001
- Christian Legal Society - Trusts and Estate Section Member

- Christian Legal Aid Foundation - Co-Founder and former President
Ms. Steele lives in Carlsbad, California with her husband Ken of 25 years and their son Tyler (21) and daughter Kelly (18).
